A bit too A/U for my taste, and strangely unmotivated, especially the ending. Torture for information extraction is one thing, but this seems like pointless torture. Overall, an ambitious attempt but more attention to the technical aspects of writing would be profitable.
This story disturbed me due to its subject matter, but nevertheless has a heartbreaking ending. Truthfully, I couldn't get this story out of my mind. Given the author's stated age and the quality of the story, I look forward to seeing much more from this writer. I'm a lot more impressed than I can possibly say. Bring it on girl.
Coming back to review this story as I read the whole thing yesterday. A very well written and interesting tale. One that on one level disturbed me and on the other had me cheering for them both. The ending elicited a bout of tears and sniffles, but well worth the reading for any Chakotay/Paris fan.
Thanks for the review. I read a true story about a man that was tortured in Sadui Arabia that inspried some of the more graphic scences of torture. I feel compelled to reveal that I am only 12 years old.
